- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Country Place has been the place to go for our pet care since its opening in 1990. Dr. Jackie & her staff have cared for a few of our pets, the most recent our Pekingese, Poppy....she has been there for him for all of his 15 years. Nine years ago we brought him to the clinic with a severe back problem, expecting the worst. She gave us the option of letting her try caring for him at her place for a week or so before having him euthanized...Now, though on his last leg, Poppy is still with us, and still being cared for by Dr. Jackie. We have nothing but praise for the kindness and compassion of all who work there. Update:July, 2016.....The time finally arrived a couple of months ago to put our beloved Poppy down. The caring & compassion of the entire staff at that time just can't be overstated....they are truly the greatest!December 29, 2016by Billie Bienvenu
